Hot bar(Pulsed heat Thermode) soldering is a joining technology where two pre-tinned parts are heated to the melting point of the tin. The joining technology results in a permanent electro mechanical joint. The required process energy is supplied by a thermode, also known as a Hot-bar. This thermode is pressed on the upper part to transfer the thermal energy to the both parts. Closed loop process control is used to control the time-temperature profile.

Superlink utilize hot-bar soldering technology in manufacturing of High-speed cable assemblies, including SFP, SFP+, QSFP+, Mini-SAS, SATA etc., which requires to solder the fine wires to the PCB boards.
